Cladify is committed to producing the finest quality composite panels available. As one of the world leaders in this space, Cladify observes rigorous quality control procedures and testing. Architects, designers, specifiers and end-users receive the peace of mind that comes from knowing that Cladify products have been subjected to testing well beyond the minimum codes. Testing is performed at both independent national laboratories and universities, as well as Cladify’s own research and manufacturing facilities in Toronto, Canada.

The Future

Cladify invests heavily in R&D to constantly evolve the product lines and the technology. We continually look for new surface materials to use, or for new applications of our products. Our R&D efforts have resulted in a number of new products, including our new Solar panel product line, which can generate power, while looking like a natural or engineered cladding material.


Rigorous Quality & Performance Testing

Cladify is committed to producing the finest quality cladding panels possible. We observe rigorous quality control procedures and testing, well beyond the minimum levels of performance. Testing is performed at national laboratories, universities, as well as our own R&D facilities in Toronto, Canada. Our products are certified to pass all the necessary ASTM tests required by North American and International regulators. Tests are available for your review from our product guide.


Large Missile Impact Test

Cladify, unlike solid stone, stands up exceptionally well to the ASTM large missile impact test. With an impact resistance of up to 60 times greater than 1.5” dimensional granite, it holds up to flying debris and can protect a building cladded in an envelop of Cladify Composite Panels. You can see below that a 2” x 4” x 8’ wood stud literally bounces off of the Cladify panel without shattering the panel during the large missile impact test.

Unique Performance Characteristics

Cladify Composite Panels with Airspace backing technology perform exceptionally well in a number of areas. The large missile impact test is just such an example.

The Cladify Solution To High Wind

Cladify derives its strength from its aluminum Airspace backing technology core bonded to the stone veneer with high performance aviation epoxy. Both of these components are used on aircraft fuselage whose surfaces experience wind speeds of thousands of miles per hour. Please note the example below, in terms of epoxy bond strength, compared to a variety of wind forces.

Protecting Buildings and People

What are the implications of the exceptional performance of Cladify panels in the large missile impact test? Buildings encapsulated in an envelop of flexible and ductile Cladify Composite Airspace backing technology Panels, are thoroughly protected from multiple hazards. The superior all-aluminum Airspace backing technology panel core can catch flying debris resulting from hurricane force winds. And with a blast-resistant curtain wall and glazing, Cladify’s blast-resistant stone cladding can mitigate the danger to life and property from blast events. Cladify panels survive blast events amazingly well and form an important component in an overall system of protection for any building or structure.

When designing for a single hazard such as a blast event, it is important to consider how the material selected for blast-resistance may conflict with protection from other hazards. It is good to know that Cladify performs very well against all five of what the American FEMA Agency considers as “extreme hazards”.

Fire Safety

Cladify Composite Panels are inherently flame resistant. Cladify is composed of non-combustable materials that have passed the CAN/ULC S114 test. Cladify panels have a CAN/ULC S102 flame spread index of 0 and a smoke contribution of 40. The “smoke contribution” is primarily water vapour and can vary by stone type. This gives Cladify a Class A rating under the NFPA standard or Class 1 rating under the UBC standard.


The information contained in the Mechanical Properties of Cladify (the “Test Summary”) herein is confidential, proprietary to Cladify and its related entities and affiliates (the “Disclosing party”) and is exclusively intended for R&D purposes only. For clarity, R&D shall mean any and all work undertaken by the Disclosing Party to facilitate innovation, introduction, and improvement of its products and procedures. Recipients of the Test Summary shall not, use, publish, copy, redistribute, make any public comment, statement or communication, or otherwise disclose to any person and/or entity in any manner whatsoever, digital or otherwise, or permit the use by others for their benefit or to the detriment of the Disclosing Party, any information contained in the Test Summary. The Test Summary is strictly private and personal to its recipients and shall not be distributed or reproduced in whole on in part, nor transmitted to any third party. Any reproduction of the Test Summary, in whole or in part, or the divulgence of any of its contents, without the prior consent of the Disclosing Party is strictly prohibited.

The information contained in the Test Summary shall at all time remain the property of the Disclosing party. Such right of the Disclosing party extends to all copies of the Test Summary and/or any information that reflect, interpret, evaluate, include or are derived from the information disclosed in the Test Summary. Any disclosure of the information contained in the Test Summary shall immediately entitle the Disclosing party to preliminary, interlocutory and/or permanent injunctive relief, restraining such violation by the recipient and enjoining the recipient to remedy any actual or threatened unauthorized use or disclosure of the information contained in the Test Summary. This remedy will be in addition to, and not in limitation of any other remedy, which may otherwise be available at law or equity to the Disclosing Party. The recipient shall indemnify and hold harmless the Disclosing Party for any and all actions, proceedings, claims, losses, liabilities, damages, expenses, demands, losses and costs resulting, whether directly or indirectly, from any breach of or non-compliance by the recipient of this Disclaimer herein.

The Disclosing Party shall not be liable to any other party in any manner whatsoever for any decisions, obligations, costs or expenses incurred, changes in business practices, plans, organizations, products, services, or otherwise, based on any party’s decision to use or rely on the information contained in the Test Summary. The Disclosing Party makes no representations and gives no warranties of whatever nature in respect of the Test Summary, including but not limited to the accuracy or completeness of any information, fact and/or opinion contained therein.
