Description

Standing as an elegant architectural presence at 60 Shuter St in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Fleur Condos adds a refined high-rise profile to the downtown landscape. Located just a short distance from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), this 29-story mixed-use tower accommodates 320 residential suites positioned above active ground-floor retail space. The structure's design pairs modern glass curtain walls with warm, textured stone elements along the street-level podium to enrich the urban pedestrian environment.

Challenge

  • Realize the developer‚Äôs vision for a classic limestone facade without introducing excessive structural weight
  • Integrate warm, textured stone at the street-level podium with the modern glass curtain wall above
  • Avoid the complex supporting structures conventional stone would require

Solution

  • Lightweight Indiana Limestone panels engineered to attach directly between floor slabs
  • Natural stone integrated seamlessly into the fully unitized curtain wall assembly
  • Eliminated heavy secondary support frames and traditional masonry backup walls, reducing installation complexity

Products that Perform

Cladify designs facade cladding systems as coordinated assemblies, developed to integrate cleanly with the building envelope and perform at scale. Our approach supports rainscreen and prefabricated wall assemblies, allowing project teams to choose the delivery method that best aligns with schedule, site constraints, and architectural intent.
